Project Recent advances in wireless communications and microelectronics has enabled the development of low cost sensor networks, which have various application areas such as environmental monitoring, transportation, health care, seismic detection, disaster recovery, warfare, security, and even space exploration.

In this project, we are investigating the power management and routing issues in wireless sensor networks. We have formed a state-of-the-art wireless sensor network testbed with Crossbow motes. Wireless sensor networks is currently a very active research topic that brings together researchers from various fields such as wireless networking, data bases and information management, embedded systems, signal processing, as well as distributed algorithms.
