A simplified version of the Lee model is a collection of nonrelativistic bosons interacting with a spin system. We show that this system requires
a simple renormalization, and prove that its ground state bound from below two and three dimensional Riemannian manifolds. We will also present a
mean field theory approach to this model and show that the mean field estimate is a much better bound. There are technical differences in two and three dimensions as we will see.
