Title: "Non-perturbative Physics from String Theory"

Date/Time:  Dec. 21 Wednesday at 14.40

Place:  FASS G022

Abstract

String theory offers different constructions to describe the non-perturbative behavior of supersymmetric gauge theories.
In this talk, two such examples will be demonstrated: the so-called geometric engineering of supersymmetric gauge theories
and the AdS/CFT correspondence.
