The 19th Statistical Physics Days will be held on our campus on 28 - 30 June, 2012 at the FMAN Auditorium. Our main speaker is Christopher Jarzynski from University of Maryland who will give two plenary talks entitled “Irreversibility and the Second Law of Thermodynamics at the Nanoscale” and “Work and Information Processing in a Solvable Model of Maxwell's Demon.” Please join us to hear the latest research of 12 additional invited speakers as well as short talks of over 40 young researchers. If you want to learn the basics and more on Energy and Climate issues, don't miss Saturday morning for the Fundamental Problems in Statistical Physics session. Attendance is free of charge.
