Title: Design Automation for Embedded Systems

As a consequence of the continual increase in computing power and flexible systems-on-silicon, embedded
systems have been the main computing platforms that appear everywhere at every instance in our daily lives.
Demand for more intelligent devices, stringent design constraints and short time-to-market requirements
mandate the usage and development of design automation tools. In this talk, we will take a brief tour in
embedded systems and design automation tools for embedded systems.

Short Bio:
Dr. Arda Yurdakul is an associate professor in the Computer Engineering Department at Bogazici University.
Dr. Yurdakul's research is targeted on design automation, real-time embedded systems, reconfigurable
computing, and novel multicore on-chip systems. She served as the chair of the IEEE Turkey Section in
2010-2011. She is a member of IEEE and ACM. ( )
