Title: CONSTRUCTING QUANTUM GROUPS
Abstract: Quantum groups are the group objects of noncommutative geometry. They are known to have applications in diverse areas of mathematics such as knot theory, representation theory and mathematical physics. The two main techniques for constructing quantum groups use deformations and bicrossed products. We will attempt to propose another method for constructing quantum groups and give some examples.
