Sabancı University promotes Visiting Faculty / Researcher programs. Interested applicants should first contact a host faculty member from Sabancı University in their own research domain. The host faculty member together with the Dean's office will arrange the official application to the Faculty Search and Recruitment Committee for long term appointments, internal and external support / funding.

There are several national (TUBITAK) and international (FP7) funding organizations to support such actions. Only the host faculty member can apply for TUBITAK funding. There are two important TUBITAK support actions:

• 2221 - KONUK BILIM INSANI DESTEKLEME PROGRAMI: Yurt disindaki universitelerde ve/veya arastirma kuruluslarinda calismakta olan bilim insanlarinin universitelerimiz, kamu veya ozel sektor kurum ve kuruluslarinda arastirmalara katilmak, teknolojik yenilikler getirmek, seminerler, konferanslar, dersler vermek uzere Turkiye'ye getirilmesi, davet edilmesi icin destek verilir.

• 2216 - RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS : Travel and research grants will be awarded to highly qualified Ph.D. students and young post-doctoral researchers to conduct part of their research in Turkey.

The EU FP7 provides supports grants for exchange and visiting reseachers over the Marie Curie Actions. Sabancı University Research and Graduate Policies Office can provide extensive help on FP7 actions.

The University can provide funding and housing support. All applications are handled case by case by the Dean's office and the Faculty Search and Recruitment Committee.
