Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences 6th Search Conference

The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences brought its academic staff together on February 3, 2026, for its 6th Faculty Search Conference, designed as a follow-up and action-oriented continuation of the 5th Search Conference held on June 3, 2025.
The conference took place at the Sabancı University Tuzla Campus under the leadership of our Dean, Prof. Erkay Savas, with moderation by Mete Yurtsever. The event was attended by President Prof. Yusuf Leblebici, Vice President for Education Prof. Cem Güneri, Vice President for Research
Prof. Mehmet Yildız, Secretary General Ali Çalışkan, along with faculty members, lecturers, research assistants, administrative staff, and experts and researchers from SUATT and SUNUM.
Building on previously identified priorities, the conference focused on translating strategic themes into concrete actions. Participants worked collaboratively on defining next steps, responsibilities, and implementation pathways aimed at strengthening the faculty's long-term growth, excellence, and impact.
Key discussions addressed current challenges in higher education and scientific research, while also actively exploring practical opportunities presented by artificial intelligence, including ethical, technological, and pedagogical considerations, with a clear emphasis on how these insights can be integrated into education, research, and faculty operations.
Through this collective and action-driven process, the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences continues to shape its future strategies by leveraging the experience, expertise, and shared commitment of its academic community
