Students successfully completing the course may be given an original research problem.

Reference: “World Energy Outlook: 2016” (600 pages) produced in December 2016 by the International Energy Agency (IEA) under the direction of Dr. Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the IEA, will be studied in totality.

The analysis of the world energy outlook in the coming year will be studied: Global energy trends to 2040. Oil market outlook. Natural gas market outlook. Coal market outlook. Power sector outlook. Renewable energy outlook. Energy and Climate Change. Water Energy Nexus.

Grades: midterm 25%; final 25%; weekly quizzes 25%; class presentations 25%. If you complete your class presentations, the lowest two quiz grades will be thrown out.
