Students of ENS205 visited Composite Technologies Center of Excellence in Teknopark

Yesterday, students of ENS 205 course (Introduction to Materials Science visited Composite Technologies Center of Excellence (SUIMC) in Teknopark Istanbul. Around 40 students participated in the technical visit. During the visit,students have the opportunity to see the state-of-art materials synthesis, processing, and characterization tests. Students, in particular, visited following laboratories of SUIMC: Additive Manufacturing, Wet Chemistry, Polymer Processing, Material Characterisation, Computational Mechanics, Advanced Composite Manufacturing. The instructor of ENS 205, Emre Erdem, states that such on-site learning enables students to learn the application of MaterialsScience at industrial scale and helps to visualize what they have learned in the class.
