New Course: IF402 - Sustainability and Circularity in Materials
IF402 - Sustainability and Circularity in Materials is now available as an area course for Industrial Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering students and a Core course in the Sustainability Minor Program.

Weekly Hours: 3 hrs

This course provides a multidisciplinary approach, integrating engineering, management, and sustainability sciences to develop innovative recycling and upcycling technologies for a sustainable future. Topics include:
✔️ Circular economy strategies for waste reduction and resource efficiency
✔️ Recycling of thermosets/thermoplastics into value-added products
✔️ Carbon fiber composite recycling and CO₂ conversion into raw materials
✔️ Life cycle assessment (LCA) for evaluating environmental impact
✔️ Sustainable waste management and industrial applications
This course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and tools to contribute to a low-carbon, resource-efficient, and circular economy.
