The
quantum enhanced resolution and sensitivity in phase measurement using
entangled photons
Abstract: Quantum
entanglement, introduced by Schrodinger in the context of CAT paradox
and which Einstein found quite unconvincing, has now become a reality.
Many thought experiments on the foundations of quantum mechanics have
been realized and a wide variety of applications in various disciplines
of Physics and quantum information science are appearing. This talk
would focus on some of the emerging ideas and applications such as the
realization of the ultimate sensitivity of optical phase measurements
by using entangled photons.
