Micro and Nano Scale Heat Transfer Course 2014 (MNHTC 2014)

Dear Colleague,

I am pleased to announce a new short course that will be offered during July 7-11, 2014 titled “Micro and Nano Scale Heat Transfer Course 2014 (MNHTC 2014)” at Sabanci University, Karakoy Communication Center, Istanbul, Turkey. The course will be given by several world leaders on micro/nano scale heat transfer and will cover emerging topics pertinent to micro and nano scale heat transfer.

The course is specifically designed for graduate students, post-docs, researchers, professors, and thermal design experts from a broad range of industries. Three days of this five day course are dedicated to single-phase flow, flow boiling, flow condensation, and heat transfer enhancement techniques, one day for solid-state (nanoscale conduction) heat transfer, and one day for near field thermal radiation. The course will introduce basic principles, advanced topics, design guidelines, and research needs.

The course participants will have an opportunity to learn about the exciting field of micro/nano scale heat transfer, to network with experts and peers working in the field, to enjoy a beautiful evening and a banquet on the Bosphorus (included in the registration fees), and to enjoy lunch and coffee breaks (included in the registration fees). You will have plenty of opportunity to interact individually with the world-renowned leaders and other participants throughout the course. Special scholarships for participation to this event may be available for students from Turkey.
