EE 580 Musical Effects Design will be offered in the Spring semester

Dear Students,

EE 580 Special Topics in Microelectronics-Musical Effects Design will be offered in the Spring semester.

In this course electronics of musical effects -mainly for electric guitar- will be introduced. Amplitude and time based effects will be covered in detail.  We will be using Spice as well as Matlab and other simulation software and the students should have enough electronics and signal processing knowledge. We will also get into digital effect design as time permits. There will be a hands on project, each student is expected to build a working effect box ready to play.
