CS 582 Special Topics in Computer Science -Readings in Opinion Mining

Dear Students,

CS 582 Special Topics in Computer Science "Readings in Opinion Mining" will be offered by Yücel Saygın in 2013-2014 Spring Semester.

"Large collections of textual data are generated by people mostly through social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. These data sources could be tapped to understand what people are thinking about certain issues.  Opinion mining deals with the identification of sentiment of people towards companies, new products, political issues etc. In this course, students will read, present, and discuss state of the art papers on opinion mining. They will also do research projects on opinion mining supervised by the instructor."
