Abstract:  The Dynamic Behaviour of Composite Panels Subjected to Air Blast Loading: Experiment and Theory

Biograph:

I completed my Ph.D. in Istanbul Technical University in 1998. I was in Cornell University, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department for postdoctoral study between 1998 and 2001. I have been working in Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics since 2001. My research interests are Finite Element Method in Structural Mechanics; Shell Theory and its Applications; Structural Design; Composite Materials; Aeroelasticity, Mechanical Vibrations and Structural Dynamics; Computer Aided Measurement and Data Acquisition; Structural Impact; Polycrystal Elastoplasticity. I am teaching Strength of Materials, Design of Machine Elements, Experimental Engineering, Aerospace Structures courses in undergraduate level and I am teaching Theory of Plates and Shells and Mechanics of Composite Materials courses in graduate level. I published the several journal and conference papers.
