Emre Erdem appointed by EU as review panelist

Dr. Emre Erdem, new faculty member of FENS, has been appointed to the European Union's review panel of projects for the Central European Research Infrastructure Consortium (CERIC / ERIC). Emre Erdem is the first person from Turkey who will serve in this panel. Responsibilities as a panelist include working with deputy executive director Ornela De Giacomo on an ongoing basis to evaluate the proposals for open access in the fields of Applied Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Material Science. Panelists are asked to review projects for publication throughout the year. CERIC integrates and provides open access to some of the best facilities in Central and Eastern Europe, to help science and industry advance in all fields of materials, biomaterials and nanotechnology.
