“An Analytical Model for Computing the Optimal Time-and-Quantity Policy for Consolidated Shipments”

Abstract:  Time-and-Quantity Policy is a shipment consolidation practice which tries to utilize the advantages of both Quantity-Policy and Time-Policy. This work derives the expression for the long run average of the expected cost, and finds the optimal policy parameters.


Biography: Mr. Fatih Mutlu is, currently, a PhD candidate in the department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Texas A&M University, College Station, USA. He holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Bilkent University. His research interest focuses on supply chain management, inventory management and applied probability. He also works on joint inventory replenishment and pricing decisions in supply channels
