Mr. Deniz Oktar will be talking about the history of
iletken technologies and how an undergraduate senior project turned into a global R&D company.
Moreover, he talking about some basic recommendation techniques and their
practical applications in the e-commerce and music&movie industries.
Deniz Oktar
Mr.
Deniz Oktar is a Co-Founder at iletken technologies, the leading social
recommendation technology provider for e-commerce space. Before iletken, at
the age of 15, he started his career as a columnist
at PC Magazine. At the freshman year of his collage education as a
computer engineer, he founded ReklamGiy: A
Guerilla marketing firm based on the idea of allocating university students,
to earn their stipends, by wearing advertisement printed T-shirts. Between
2004-2009, each year, 350+ students in Turkey have been involved in this
project. His first commercial IT project was Botego,
a chat-bot agent firm aimed at producing intelligent software agents to be
used in many fields including support centers.

received numerous awards including the 2nd place
in the 1 million dollar Netflix Prize.
