New Course: ME 480-ME 583 Special Topics in Mechatronics I
Goal of the course: The goal of this course is to introduce the scaling laws that describe the variation of physical quantities with the size of the system (Dimensional Analysis). Scaling laws from engineering (Geometric scaling) and biological systems might familiarize students with the fundamentals of recent biomedical or bioengineering technologies while presenting their different application areas. A learning objective for the course for diverse-background students is to develop a systematic approach about the likely behavior of downsized systems and to apply the benefits of scaling in biomedical technologies.
