Yousef Jameel Scholarship | Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences

The Unisantis FZE http://www.unisantis.com/. is establishing the “Yousef Jameel Scholarship” at Sabancı University http://wwwl.sabanciuniv.edu/ that can be awarded to the outstanding full time students enrolled in the graduate programs (M:Sc. and Ph.D) at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences http://fens.sabanciuniv.edu/, with precedence given to the eligible candidates of the Mechatronics graduate program http://www.mechatronics.sabanciuniv.edu/.

The “Yousef Jameel Scholarship” is intended to provide full support to outstanding students seeking high achievements in science and technology, including

· tuition fee,

· monthly stipend-for accommodation and living expenses,

· books and supplies

· a notebook computer

The scholarship will be awarded to outstanding, both newly admitted and to continuing students. Candidates must have an academic performance indicator clearly compatible with high honors level of cumulative grade point average or have BS CGPA greater than or equal to 3.50. The selection will be strictly based on merit, without any discrimination of gender, nationality, race or faith of the students.

The recipients of the “Yousef Jameel Scholarship” are expected to carry on research in selected science/technology areas of their choosing, with leading scientists, in modern fully equipped laboratory environment with access to all major scientific databases.

Examples of the research topics include, but are not limited to, mechatronics systems and control, micro and nano systems, microrobotics, new materials, biotechnology, microelectronics, computer sciences, telecommunications. This scholarship will enable outstanding students to do full time research leading to a graduate degree with highly qualified scholars in the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of the Sabancı University.
