Mechatronics Ph.D. student Arzu Ozbey received Award of Merit in Poster Competition in ASME 2015 NEMB Conference
Mechatronics Ph.D. student Arzu Ozbey was one of the recipients of Award of Merit in Poster Competition in ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) 2015 NEMB (4th Global Congress on NanoEngineering for Medicine and Biology) Conference with her poster ‘Rare Cell Sorting Using Inertial Microfluidics in Curved Channels’. Related interdisciplinary research was performed with the help of graduate student Merve Zuvin, undergraduate students Sarp Akgonul and Alkim Zeliha Avsar and SUNUM researcher Ozlem Oral under the supervision of Ali Kosar and Meltem Elitas and is a result of close collaboration with Devrim Gozuacik group. The ASME NEMB organizational committee recognizes and encourages outstanding research through poster awards each year. More than 250 posters were submitted to this conference this year.
