The Success of Güvenç Şahin

Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences faculty member Güvenç Şahin has received the Humboldt Fellowship for Experienced Researchers. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation grants research fellowships to scientists and scholars from abroad to sponsor their research stays at research institutions in Germany. The purpose of the research fellowships is to carry out the proposed research, chosen by the research fellows themselves, at a host institute that provides the necessary research facilities.  Güvenç Şahin will be working urban transportation planning problems and multi-period optimization problems with Mathematics of Transportation and Logistics Group at the Zuse Institute Berlin during short-term and long-term stays in the next three years.
