Endüstride Dijital Dönüşüm Programı

The Battery Science and Engineering program, launched in collaboration with Sabancı University and Siro, aims to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and the private sector by familiarizing students with the latest industry applications and technologies. The program offers a comprehensive education that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the field of battery science and engineering. It is designed to provide industrial-level practical experiences as well.

The mission of the Battery Science & Engineering (BATT) Minor Program is to cultivate a deep understanding of battery technologies and engineering by advancing knowledge, fostering innovation, and addressing critical challenges in the field. Our goal is to offer a comprehensive and interdisciplinary educational experience that equips students with the expertise and skills essential for successful careers in battery science, engineering, and related industries. We strive to prepare graduates to become visionary leaders, innovative thinkers, adept problem-solvers, and distinguished professionals and researchers, capable of shaping the future of battery technologies and the sustainable energy landscape. Our interdisciplinary curriculum seamlessly integrates principles from engineering, natural sciences, and energy technologies, while also promoting self-confidence, initiative, and proficiency in both Turkish and English.

This program is designed to offer a versatile education that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experiences in the field of battery science and engineering. By doing so, we will provide our students with an educational program rich in academic content and aligned with industry needs, offering career development opportunities and enabling them to enhance their knowledge and skills in battery technologies, fostering their holistic development.

The Battery Science and Engineering Minor Program will play a significant role in training future engineers and researchers who will work in battery technologies. It will enable students interested in this field to acquire comprehensive theoretical knowledge, develop practical skills through designed experimental studies, address critical challenges related to batteries, and keep up with innovative approaches and technological developments in this area.

This program will directly address the industry's significant need for battery expertise, focusing on battery production, testing, safety, various battery technologies, and battery applications. It will provide a solid foundation for the education of future engineers and researchers planning to conduct in-depth studies in these areas. This new minor program will offer our students a multidisciplinary and stakeholder-focused collaboration platform, enabling them to respond swiftly to changing needs and allowing us to make impactful contributions to society by leveraging our research strengths.
